Kyra Minturn

 Kyra Minturn Sedgwick (born August 19, 1965) is an American producer, actress and director. Her most prominent role is that of the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson, on TNT's crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick received a Golden Globe Award and an Emmy Award for her portrayal as Johnson in 2007. The series ended on August 13th, 2012 following the conclusion of the seventh season. Sedgwick is also well-known for her recurring role on Brooklyn Nine-Nine as Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick received an Golden Globe nomination for her performance as Madeline in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's other film roles include Oliver Stone's Born of the Fourth of July (1989), Cameron Crowe's The Ones (1992) as well as Heart and Souls-1993), Phenomenon (1996), What's cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2013). Sedgwick was the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald who was an therapist for speech and family and Henry Dwight Sedgwick IV, a venture capitalist. She was born in New York City. Her mother was Jewish. Her father was an Episcopalian of English descent. Sedgwick declares that she is Jewish and says she is a member of Passover seders.
