Catherine Anne
Catherine Anne O'Hara OOC, born March 4 1954, is a Canadian-American actress. O'Hara is the proud recipient of several distinctions, including the Genie Award. In the year 2018, she was made an Officer of Canada. In 2020, she received the Governor General's Performing Arts Lifetime Artistic Achievement award. O'Hara made her name as an actress as a member in 1974 of The Second City, an comedy troupe that was based in Toronto. With John Candy and Dan Aykroyd she was part of the main team of the sitcom Coming Up Rosie (1975-1978). O'Hara, Candy, and Dan Aykroyd began work in Second City Television's sketch comedy program (1976-1984). O'Hara received praise for her comic acting and writing abilities which earned her the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Writer for the Variety Series in 1982. O'Hara, Steve Carell and Dwayne Colbert were included on the Second City artistic board in 2022.
